Orchestra Mambo International is the UK’s powerhouse 13-piece Latin ensemble, igniting dancefloors with a vibrant blend of classic salsa, mambo, cha cha cha, and Afro-Cuban jazz. Led by renowned salsa DJ Lubi Jovanovic and acclaimed trombonist/composer Jonny Enright (Grupo X), the group draws inspiration from Latin legends like Tito Puente, Machito, Eddie Palmieri, Celia Cruz, Ray Barretto, and Willie Colón.

Founded in 2022, Orchestra Mambo International brings together a dynamic lineup of musicians from Venezuela, Colombia, Cuba, Spain, Congo/Argentina, and the UK, creating a truly international sound and spirit. Their all-star roster features lead singer Carlos “Pachanga” Peña, alongside standout talents on trumpet, percussion, piano, vibes, and more, with members having performed alongside icons such as Joe Bataan, Tito Allen, Jimmy Bosch and Jimmy Sabater.

The band’s original tracks like the dancefloor anthems “Mambo Te Llama,” “Baila Mi Cha Cha,” and the brand new single “Mi Mambo” have earned widespread acclaim, lighting up airwaves and playlists from BBC Radio 6 Music to global salsa and jazz DJs. Their music has been championed by tastemakers including Gilles Peterson, Cerys Matthews, Huey Morgan, and Coco Maria, while their debut vinyl releases have become sought-after collector’s items.

Known for electrifying live shows, Orchestra Mambo International has played to packed houses at top UK venues, from London’s The Forge and Manchester’s Band on The Wall, to Leeds’ Howard Assembly Room. Their performance on the Glasto Latino stage at Glastonbury Festival 2025 is highly anticipated.

Orchestra Mambo International's December 2024 live session at BBC Maida Vale Studios for Cerys Matthews’ Christmas show reached an audience of 800,000, cementing their reputation for infectious rhythms and authentic Latin energy.
